Founding and development of the Franklin Club
When: December 2020 - present
Partners: The University of Georgia, Tbilisi • Atlas Foundation
My Role: Together with several like-minded friends and colleagues, we envisioned and founded the Franklin Club starting from the end of 2020, to which I contributed much of the initial vision, as well as the name and the branding concept.
Franklin Club is an association dedicated to promoting classical liberal values and facilitating cooperation between its members. Its ongoing and planned activities include educational and media projects, research, political discussions, activism, and consulting. The club remains open to a wide range of initiatives strengthening the classical liberal community and its causes.
Political Party
Founding Member, Work, Activism at Girchi, Girchi More Freedom
When: November 2015 - present
My Role: I was among a dozen individuals co-founding the Girchi political party in 2015-18, where I worked on tasks ranging from web development to speaking on TV.
After leaving the party staff I remained an occasionally active member, and was N10 on the party list in the 2020 elections.
Later I was actively involved in the founding of the party's second incarnation - Girchi More Freedom.
Girchi was the first party in Georgia clearly identified with classical liberalism and libertarianism. The party quickly established itself as a distinct, innovative force in Georgian politics, reaching 5-10% of the vote in certain districts and 2-3% country-wide, in 2018 and 2020 elections: at the time, a notable success for any largely libertarian party.
